October 24, 2017 - Statement From Chancellor Glen D. Johnson on Proposed Budget Agreement RSS feed

Media Contact

“We are pleased that the Governor and legislative leadership have reached an agreement on a revenue package that addresses the immediate budget shortfall. As discussions move forward, we would support revenue options that would restore the significant cuts to core agencies in state government, including the disproportionate cuts of 22 percent to higher education over the last three years.

We would ask our House and Senate members to support the agreement in an effort to begin to address the severe and continuing revenue problems in state government.”
